Writer, reader, creative soul, and romantic at heart.
Wife, daughter, sister, forever friend.
Always in the pusuit of growth, the silver lining, and unique beauty.

I actually hated to read when I was a kid and never would have thought I'd end up writing. I had only a few books that I found interesting and my parents had no qualms about me reading them over and over, as long as I was reading something.
I started writing fantasy as early as ten, but when I was fourteen, I picked up a Harlequin-Silhouette romance off a Wal-mart shelf and realized that I loved love-stories. I'd finally found my niche; both in writing and reading. I have so many amazing things in my head, I want to entertain someone other than myself. I dabble in everything romance, from historical, contemporary, to futuristic, and especially paranormal/urban fantasy (which is my guilty-pleasure).
I don't discriminate, I love it all!
I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Which automatically puts me in the rare-breed column, since there aren't many native Charlotteans.) I have a BFA in Creative Writing, concentration in Fiction, and a minor in English Literature from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
While studying on the coast, I met and married a United States Marine, and had the privilege of being a military wife for two years, supporting my husband while he served our country. I continue to love and support him as he transitions into civilian life, while he patiently supports me and my hair-brained creativity. We have one son—he is feline and very spoiled.
I live my own love-story and treasure it every day.
One of the best quotes I ever heard was on Sex and the City, the movie: Samantha: "How often are you happy in your marriage?" Charlotte: "Every day." Samantha: "You're happy every day?" Charlotte: "Not all day, but every day." In my opinion this is the epitome of the genre. It's not always easy, but it's the tough side that makes us appreciate the good side even more.
